My sketch for day 2 of EqD's Newbie Artist Training Ground: a pony in motion.

"Are you ready, Rainbow?"

"I was BORN ready!"

And then they did the Sonic Sparkle!

I'm really surprised with this one, for starters I wasn't expecting it to link in with the previous image. I've also never really drawn motion before, not that I can remember, so I'm amazed with the result.

I had to look up a reference for the windy manes, but the rest I more or less knew how to do. Well, I say know, but I know nothing about a pony's run cycle, I just kind of half-guessed it from all the pony I've seen.

I'd say the most dodgy bits of the drawing are Rainbow's head and mostly obscured front leg, and Twilight's most forward leg. The rest is just a little dodgy.

Not a bad first try and I'm still super impressed with myself.
