. . .
April.
A very strange mix of awesomeness, confusion, indulgence and exhaustion. It's been really difficult to be productive, beyond the initial quick burst I had surrounding Nyaseiru's birthday. Despite Shou's attempts to encourage me towards more submissions with the 100-draw-challenge, more than 50% of my work for the month remains in stash.
Math - sta.sh/022cf32v1x7k
Drawn in advASCIIDraw for amulware as an incentive to do some studying earlier in the month-
The Adventures Of Boat - sta.sh/01noqwi671fb
Prompt came from Shou- when asked what his favourite character from Cordia was, to star in the drawing, he named Twin Stars and Boat. I went with Boat. Hell yeah.
Dots - sta.sh/01j4aoxxcycd
Results of one of my recent general drawing classes. There's still a lot more I've been too distracted to get through and upload.
Unfinishing - sta.sh/01ju34yleta5
Unfinished results of first of five painting classes, held in the Hughlane gallery as part of the Bealtaine festival thingy going on here. Finding that I sorta enjoy painting this kind of stuff.
Plus a couple private personal sketches
and
some other random bits.
I uh, have a bit of trouble explaining why I'm not uploading this stuff to my gallery and scraps- besides the private stuff I mean. I guess I sort of feel like it falls short of expectations- it's sometimes a bit worrisome uploading a deviation, when I've been neglecting my work efforts so much and it feels like it's kinda irrelevant.
The more I slack, the more I feel I need to make up, even when I'm only capable of dishing out from what feels like the lowest level.
In brief news, amulware completed a small game for a coding contest, titled You Are The Darkness, which you can check out on his games page. Also I am currently being the worstest friend in terms of supporting and promoting advASCIIdraw and his other projects. ; Hug him
As for where the time in April went, well, it went mostly into Shou. Responsible for many late nights, but also a few cool things. Thanks to him I got to binge on Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (and Kai) and whimper to The Witches House, figured out streaming and ended up messing with and learning how to use my phone. Skills get +2 experiences get +2
He also gave me the idea to start up a tumblr for ascii stuff involving wizards and randomness, as an alternative and more loose aid to supporting advASCIIdraw. Not sure when or if I'll be setting it up any time, but we'll see. Ideas get +1
Dasky plans fell short again, various plans in ruins- Broken Dawn bio, Cordia cast bios, Nocturne Star and Nemesis drawings. I keep trying to hold on but it's hard to see me getting any serious production out. Already a week late into May here- we'll see if I do anything this month.

Darkicus reporting in -
Nothing much to say about May other than my draw class stuff finished- in the end it really left me tired, but I feel a lot more comfortable with the city centre from popping in on buses all the time. -
Made a tumblr but haven't set it up yet -
Much more adjusted to using my silly mobile device -
I'm all tuckered out for words.
Despite being stuck for motivation, I'm actually doing well, various projects aside. Still some unfinished business to finish up in my lifey-life -
Rats invaded house, that was pretty distracting and somewhat disturbing, but dealt with. -
Late night game sessions.

Ho there, passing month of March--
Hey, wait, where are you going??
And now it's April 2nd.

:thumb359851698:
A couple really awesome things started in March, probably the most major of which was the release of advASCIIdraw. Nyaseiru (https://www.deviantart.com/nyaseiru) beat me to making a promotion journal for it (so awesome), but still I'll include a bit of my own perspective while I'm here.
Woo!
advASCIIdraw or aady as amul and I call it is one of the core pieces of the Dasky 3 project, the piece that facilitates the easy and non-stressful creation of ASCII/roguelike scenes for the game. The functionality design was pretty

Where once a worn and withered heart did lay,
peace and comfort make it's way,
and through that withered heart red blood flows,
as deep cuts and old wounds close.
Scraps for the month.

Businessy Side Of Things
Another month passes, February perhaps with even less to show than January. But despite little pursuit in things drawing related, important stuff is happening. My original plans for the month were to focus on things Dasky 3 related, though some will notice really nothing in that regard as having happened. The best I managed was a meagre bit of arting and some

*huff* January.
Right now I'm more interested in reflecting on what I'm going to be doing for February, but, my idea for these journals was to be informative on my activities for those just passing by or those who don't have the time to follow my whimsy trail. An alternative to watching my deviations or scraps, in other words, but in order for it to be that I suppose I've got to talk about the four things I submitted in the cold, dark, dreadful month of January. And hey it wasn't all that bad!
Guess I'll start with the enigmatic 'I'm Glad You Came' above.
With the passing of December, I was pretty unhappy. At the start

Boat has had some very surreal adventures, I see.
It's good to see that you've found a new form of artwork that you 'sorta enjoy' creating.
Sadly, procrastinating on plans just seems to up the pressure related to them, as that illustration does indeed represent. I think I've said this before, but you should probably choose one plan or idea to focus on and not really worry about any other projects for a time, as that would give you a better shot of getting that one idea done at least. Of course, I haven't exactly been doing a good job of that myself...
And I don't think I've said this to you before, so I'll say it now: I'm really happy to hear about you and DShou!
